Attorney Caroline Watson is a member in good standing of the Connecticut Bar. Since joining the Firm in 2016, Caroline has been active in the Firm’s criminal and litigation practice groups. She has assisted the Firm’s trial teams in defending our clients against murder, negligent homicide, sex assault, child pornography, DUI and domestic violence charges. She currently co-chairs the Firm’s School Discipline / Title IX Practice Groups.

Highlights of Caroline’s recent work include:**

  • Assisted in successfully appealing a Quinnipiac University student’s disciplinary sanctions, resulting in the reversal of an academic suspension.
  • Negotiated the dismissal of felony and misdemeanor domestic violence charges for over 50 of the Firm’s clients since 2017.
  • Assisted in securing the dismissal of felony burglary charges against a Yale University undergraduate student facing over 20 years in jail.
  • Achieved a dismissal order a client facing felony and misdemeanor burglary and drug charges.
  • Assisted in prosecuting a Title IX federal lawsuit against a public school district for a wrongful suspension of a high school junior wrongfully accused of sexual harassment, resulting in a favorable settlement.
  • Assisted Attorneys Christine Landis and Ryan O’Neill in defending a client facing a felony gun charge during a jury trial which resulted in an acquittal.

Prior to joining the Firm full-time, Caroline interned for the Firm during the Summer of 2015, and the academic year of 2015-2016. Caroline was hired as a certified legal intern for the Connecticut Public Defender’s Office in Bridgeport, Connecticut during the Summer of 2014, assisting the Public Defender’s Office with felony and misdemeanor cases.

Caroline received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and History from Miami University – Ohio in 2012, and her Juris Doctor – cum laude – with an honors concentration in Family and Juvenile Law from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, Caroline served as Supervising Editor of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal, Vice President of the Family and Juvenile Law Society, and Executive Vice President of External Affairs for the Mock Trial Society. Caroline was also a competition team member for the Mock Trial Society, and was a member of the regional championship team at the 2015 Quinnipiac Law ABA Criminal Justice Competition. Caroline was recognized for distinguished academic achievement in Habeas Corpus in 2016.
